Huawei’s Richard Yu Invites Weibo CEO to Test Drive the Stelato S9, with the Latter Praising Its Luxury as “Far Beyond Imagination”

The Huawei Developer Conference 2024 continues today, and Huawei’s Executive Director, Chairman of the Consumer BG, and Chairman of the Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, Richard Yu(Chengdong), invited Weibo CEO Wang Gaofei to test drive the Stelato S9 sedan, one of the “dual flagships of the HarmonyOS Smart Travel.”

According to photos from the scene that have been exposed online, Yu and Wang were “chatting happily,” and Wang also expressed his recognition of the product strength of the Stelato S9, describing the luxury level of the car as “far beyond imagination.” The zero-gravity seats allowed him to fully stretch out, feeling “very relaxed and comfortable.”

It is worth mentioning that Stelato Auto recently also released the first official images of the black version of the S9.

The S9 measures 5160mm in length, 1987mm in width, 1486mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3050mm, with the interior space benchmarking against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class long wheelbase and the BMW 7 Series long wheelbase, both D-class luxury sedans. In addition, the car will also feature the lowest drag coefficient (coefficient) of a global mass-produced executive luxury sedan, but the specific data will be revealed at the launch event.

The new car will also be equipped with the new “Tuling” platform, debuting the Huawei ADS 3.0 intelligent driving system. The rear seats are equipped with two independent seats and a large central armrest. Yu previously stated that the S9 will reshape executive-level luxury. The pre-sale price of the new car is 450,000-550,000 yuan(60,000$ – 77,000$), and the official launch event is expected to be held in early August in Beijing.
