Huawei’s New MatePad Tablet Passes Radio Approval, Supports BeiDou Satellite Messaging

On June 14th, a Huawei MatePad tablet with the model number MRO-W00 has passed radio approval, with its specific market name yet to be disclosed.

The certification information indicates that this new product supports wireless local area networks, spread spectrum communication, Bluetooth, and BeiDou short message services, with the approval certificate number 2024-10350.

Huawei’s MatePad Pro 11-inch 2024, released in November of last year, is the world’s first mass-market tablet to support bidirectional BeiDou satellite messaging, starting at a price of 4299 yuan(600$).

The MatePad Pro 11 2024 supports bidirectional BeiDou satellite messages, allowing users to not only send preset text messages or quick distress signals with current status and location information selected through the Changlian App when there is no terrestrial network signal, but also receive reply messages from the other party. Additionally, the product supports StarFlash connectivity and the third-generation M-Pencil stylus, and is equipped with a downclocked Kirin 9000S processor.
