Huawei Unveils Galaxy AI Network Solution for Net5.5G Intelligent Cloud Network

During the MWC 2024 Shanghai World Mobile Communications Conference, an industry summit themed “Embracing Net5.5G, Accelerating Towards the Intelligent Era” was held. Organized by the Gongshang Industry and Standard Innovation Service Center, the summit aimed to promote global consensus on the next-generation network Net5.5G and accelerate the deployment of applications.

At the event, Wang Lei, President of Huawei’s Data Communications Product Line, launched the Galaxy AI Network Solution for Net5.5G, assisting operators in building the next-generation target network for the intelligent era. Huawei also joined forces with WBBA, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and domestic operators to issue a call for the industry to advance Net5.5G evolution. Addressing three major challenges—complex network operations and maintenance, business experience assurance, and cybersecurity protection in the AI era—the solution introduces AI to empower networks, achieving L4 Autonomous Driving Network (ADN) and highly intelligent ubiquitous security protection.

To promote global Net5.5G industry consensus, the World Broadband and Cloud Network Industry Association (WBBA) established the Network Technology Working Group (WG4) and released the first Net5.5G architecture for data communication networks globally.

Global operators are actively advancing Net5.5G network evolution, with key Net5.5G capabilities already deployed and commercially operational.

Additionally, Huawei, in collaboration with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Unicom Research Institute, China Telecom Guangdong Branch, and China Mobile Guangdong Branch, released the industry’s IP Autonomous Driving Network White Paper, aiming to infuse AI into networks and facilitate the acceleration towards an L4 high-level autonomous network.
