Huawei to Officially Announces the Release of Apollo Version on July 5th, the First 5G-A Version Based on the R18 Protocol

Huawei today teased that the 16th Huawei User Group Meeting will be held on July 5th in Istanbul, Turkey, where the Apollo Version will be unveiled.

According to the introduction, Huawei’s Apollo Version is the “first release of a 5G-A version based on the R18 protocol.” The official has not yet disclosed more information about the Apollo Version.

During the MWC Shanghai 2024 last month, Huawei outlined the technological evolution from 5G to 5G-A. Through four technological innovations—3D ELAA (Extreme Large Antenna Array) antenna technology, differentiated experience solutions, all-time and all-series green solutions, and intelligent network empowerment—it will build a new experience for the 5G-A era.

The 16th Huawei User Group Meeting (HUGM 2024) will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from July 4th to 5th, 2024. Participants will hear about the improvements made to the TOPN issues in 2023 and discuss the direction for improving TOPN issues in 2024.
