Huawei MatePad 11.5S Dynamic Edition Tablet Receives HarmonyOS Update: Introduces Multi-Device Task Center

The Huawei MatePad 11.5S Dynamic Edition tablet has recently received an update to HarmonyOS (C00E125R2P5) version, adding a Multi-Device Task Center feature, with the system package size approximately 1.12GB.

This update is exclusive to the MatePad 11.5S Dynamic Edition (the matte version tablet comes pre-installed with this feature and does not receive this version update). The details of the update are as follows:

Task Center

  • Added cross-device task management function. In the Task Center (accessible by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and pausing briefly), you can view and use the historical tasks of devices under the same Huawei account (devices need to support the Task Center) and perform management operations such as task transfer.

  • Optimized system stability in certain scenarios.

The Huawei Multi-Device Task Center feature is a very creative function of the HarmonyOS system, which can greatly enhance work efficiency. It allows users to view and transfer background tasks of multiple devices from one device , supporting task transfer between phone and tablet, phone and phone, and tablet and tablet.

The details of the Huawei Multi-Device Task Center feature are as follows:

Launch Method

  • Log in to the same Huawei account on both the phone and tablet, and turn on Bluetooth and WLAN.
  • Go to Settings → Super Device → More Super Device Settings → Multi-Device Task Center, ensuring the Multi-Device Task Center switch is turned on.

Function Usage

  • View Remote Tasks: Click the device icon at the top of the screen to view tasks on other devices. Only tasks that support transfer are displayed in the remote device’s task list.
  • Transfer Task to Local Device: Click the task card of another device to transfer the remote task to the local device, opening this task on the local device. If the transferred task is switched to the background and remains there for more than 2 minutes, it will automatically transfer back.
  • Transfer Task to Remote Device: Long press and drag the task card to the device icon to transfer the local task to the remote device, opening this task on the other device.

It is important to note that only one task can be transferred between two devices at the same time. If a new task is transferred, the old task will automatically transfer back. Some applications do not support task transfer. Currently, devices that support this feature include:
