Android AppGallery sucks ass and what Huawei can do about it on their own new OS version this fall

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Huawei AppGallery ecosystem worldwide needs a major reform, a major overhaul of how it is treated within Huawei going forward as it becomes an software company with it’s own app economy without munching it’s phone sales off Google’s own app economy that has been detached since today, May 16, 2019, 5 years later. Since then, Huawei has been attempting to replicate the success on top of Google’s platform bastardised where HMS sits on top of it while users work around it. What Huawei should do is the Nintendo-Apple formula with HarmonyOS NEXT” for launch period when it comes to first party apps, facilitating a hub for selected high quality Chinese apps services and games alongside selected global partners launch, with localised national level apps in markets it serves in waves.

Enforce strict regulations on app store quality control, to ensure that there are no asset swapping with the use of AI in the mix and other measures, making sure HAP apps are functional when they are launched. Replicate the Chinese launch of no ads in the first year with selected partners in the global developer expansion. Also continue the 100% revenue for apps and games of new developers in the first 24 months. Keep the 20% cut for apps and 30% for games.

Ensure consistent HarmonyOS NEXT AppGallery interface is the same UI template across regions, no matter what with no spam, no adware, no bloat. Ensuring less bloatware packed into the HarmonyOS NEXT system itself preinstalled alongside no ad recommendations of apps on AppGallery and system search UI as a way for developers, companies, scammers to cheat over what users are actually searching for instead. Pure system. What we see with Chinese market only HarmonyOS NEXT Developer Preview phase, is the same strategy I would like to see globally when HarmonyOS NEXT drops for other markets this fall. The AppGallery should stop being a utility to access Google Play Store on a different ecosystem that is shunned from Huawei ecosystem users and start being the actual provider and hub for Huawei users to access applications natively. And draw a red line on developers following the rule of three mainstream platforms going forward.
